HOW DOES IT WORK? If you are interested in one of our signature gender reveal cakes, please purchase this link. We will then reach out to you to figure out your cake, filling and frosting flavors.
If you like strawberry filling, this will work if you're having a girl. However, we can not color the strawberry blue, so you'll need to pick another flavor of frosting in case you're having a boy. If you dont like strawberry filling, then you can simply pick one filling flavor and we will color it according to girl and boy.
HOW WILL YOU KNOW MY BABY'S GENDER? Please provide your Dr's office with our email address orders@TheGFBakingCo.com and/or phone number 858-270-9863. You will need to give them authorization to contact us. Then, they give us a phonecall and we make up the cake!
Usually you put a "hopeful" pickup date, because sometimes Drs offices don't contact us for a couple of days. We will text or email you to let you know when we know the gender, and then organize the best date for cake pickup. If you are having a gender reveal party, you need to order this cake in advance, and speak to your Dr's office about what is a realistic timeframe for them to contact us. We need to know the gender 5 days in advance of your desired pickup.
WHAT ARE MY FLAVOR CHOICES? Cake flavors can be: vanilla, chocolate, lemon, funfetti. Filling and frosting are both buttercream, and can be: vanilla, cream cheese, lemon, strawberry, cookies and cream. Please note ALL cake and filling/frosting flavors can be made DF or V-- simply indicate your allergens below.
I WANT TO PUT A TOPPER ON MY CAKE: Our cakes normally have a frosting boarder at the top and bottom of the cake. However, if you'd like to put on your own cake topper, you may not want a top boarder. We can leave the boarders off, and just provide a gently swirled frosting on the sides of the cake. Just let us know when we discuss the flavor options!
PICKUP TIMES AND LOCATION: We rent the back kitchen of BCB Cafe at 1010 University Avenue. Pickup hours are from 6am-3pm each day, and you pick up at the BCB Counter.
